How to find a planet is malefic or benefic.

Let us analyze benefic based on the ownership.

1. The benefic owning Kendra i.e. 1, 4, 7 and 10 will lose its beneficence and become neutral. They will not become malefic
2. The same way a malefic owning a Kendra i.e 1, 4, 7, 10 will lose its malfeasance and become neutral. They will not become benefic.
3. The planets owning 3, 6 and 11 are inauspicious
4. Lord of 8^th and 12 are neutral.
5. The lord owning 8^th house although natural, it will not cause rajayoga even if they own a Kendra or Kona.
6. If the 8^th lord owns any of 3, 6 and 11, it becomes inauspicious.
7. If the lord owns two house, it will give effect of the house which is stronger. i.e on Kendras, the ascending order of strength is 1, 4, 7 and 10. On kones the ascending order of strength is 5 and 9. On Trishadayas the order is 3, 6, and 11. 2 and 12 house do not have any strength and 8^th house will never be stronger than Lagna. பைங்கமலத் தண்தெரியல் பட்டர்பிரான் கோதை சொன்ன 
சங்கத்தமிழ்மாலை முப்பதும் தப்பாமே 
இங்குஇப் பரிசுரைப்பார் ஈரிரண்டு மால்வரைத்தோள் 
செங்கண் திருமுகத்து செல்வத்திருமாலால் 
எங்கும் திருவருள் பெற்று இன்புறுவர் எம்பாவாய். 

பொருள்:

அலைகள் நிறைந்த பாற்கடலைக் கடைந்த மாதவனும், கேசி என்ற அரக்கனைக் கொன்ற கேசவனுமான கண்ணனை, சந்திரனைப் போன்ற அழகு முகம் கொண்ட அணிகலன் அணிந்த பெண்கள் சிரமப்பட்டு தரிசித்து, பாவை விரத பலன் பெற்ற விபரத்தை ஸ்ரீவில்லிப்புத்தூரில் பிறந்த, குளிர்ந்த தாமரை போன்ற முகத்தையுடைய பெரியாழ்வாரின் பெண்ணான ஆண்டாள், இனிய தமிழில் முப்பது பாடல் பாடி பாமாலை தொடுத்திருக்கிறாள். இதனை படிப்பவர்கள், உயர்ந்த தோள்களை யுடையவனும், அழகிய கண்களைக் கொண்ட திருமுகத்தை உடையவனும், செல்வத்துக்கு அதிபதியுமான திருமாலின் ஆசியுடன் எங்கு சென்றாலும் செல்வச்செழிப்பு பெற்று இன்பமுடன் வாழ்வர்.

அவன் விருப்பெய்தவும் மலரவன் ஆசைப்படவும் 
நின்னலர்ந்த மெய்க்கருணையும் நீயும் 
அவனியிற் புகுந்தெமை ஆட்கொள்ள வல்லாய் 
ஆரமுதே! பள்ளி எழுந்தருளாயே! 

பொருள்:

 திருப்பெருந்துறையில் வசிக்கும் சிவனே! பூமியில் பிறந்த அடியார்களெல்லாம் சிவனால் ஆட்கொள்ள படுகிறார்கள். ஆனால், நாம் பூமியில் பிறக்காத காரணத்தால் வீணாக நாளை போக்குகின்றோம் என்று திருமாலும், அவனது உந்தித்தாமரையில் பிறந்த மலரவனான பிரம்மாவும் வருந்துகின்றனர். எனவே நீ, உண்மையான கருணையுடன் இந்த உலகிற்கு வந்து எங்களை ஆட்கொள்ள வல்லவனாய் இருக்கிறாய். எவருக்கும் கிடைக்காத அமுதமே! நீ பள்ளி எழுந்தருள்வாயாக!

சிற்றஞ்சிறுகாலே வந்துன்னைச் சேவித்துன் 
பொற்றாமரையடியே போற்றும் பொருள்கேளாய்! 
பெற்றம் மேய்த்துண்ணும் குலத்தில் பிறந்து நீ 
குற்றேவல் எங்களைக் கொள்ளாமற் போகாது 
இற்றைப் பறைகொள்வான் அன்றுகாண் கோவிந்தா! 
எற்றைக்கும் ஏழேழ் பிறவிக்கும் உன்தன்னோடு 
உற்றோமே யாவோம் உனக்கேநாம் ஆட்செய்வோம் 
மற்றை நம் காமங்கள் மாற்றேலோர் எம்பாவாய். 

பொருள்:

கண்ணா! அதிகாலையில் உன் பொன்போன்ற தாமரை  பாதங்களை வணங்க வந்திருக்கிறோம். அதற்கான காரணத்தைக் கேள்! பசுக்களை மேய்த்துப் பிழைக்கும் ஆயர்குலத்தில் பிறந்த நீ, எங்களது இந்த சிறு விரதத்தைக் கண்டுகொள்ளாமல் விட்டுவிடாதே! நீ தரும் சிறு பொருட்களுக்காக (அணிகலன் முதலானவை) இந்த விரதத்தை மேற்கொள்ளவில்லை. என்றும், ஏழுபிறவிகளிலும் நீ எங்கள் குலத்தில் பிறக்க வேண்டும். எங்களை உன் உறவினர்களாக ஏற்க வேண்டும். உனக்கு மட்டுமே சேவை செய்யும் பாக்கியத்தை தரவேண்டும். இது தவிர மற்ற விருப்பங்களைஎல்லாம் நீயே அழித்து விடு.

விண்ணகத் தேவரும் நண்ணவும் மாட்டா 
விழுப்பொருளே! உன் தொழும்பு அடியோங்கள் 
மண்ணகத்தே வந்து வாழச் செய்தோனே! 
வண் திருப்பெருந்துறையாய்! வழியடியோம் 
கண்ணகத்தே நின்று களிதரு தேனே! 
கடலமுதே! கரும்பே! விரும்பும் அடியார் 
எண்ணகத்தாய்! உலகுக்கு உயிரானாய்! 
எம்பெருமான் பள்ளி எழுந்தருளாயே! 

பொருள்:

விண்ணுலகிலுள்ள தேவர்களாலும் நெருங்க முடியாத சிறந்த பொருளான சிவபெருமானே! உன்னை வணங்கும அடியவர்களுக்காக நீ இந்த மண்ணுலகிற்கு வந்து அருள்செய்து வாழ வைத்தாய். வளம் நிறைந்த திருப்பெருந்துறையில் வசிப்பவனே! பரம்பரை பரம்பரையாக உனக்கு பணிவிடை செய்யும் அடியவர்களின் கண்களுக்கு மட்டும் தெரியும் இனிய தேனே! பாற்கடலில் கிடைத்த அமுதமே! கரும்பே! உன்னை அணுகும் அடியவர்களின் எண்ணங்களில் நீக்கமற நிறைந்திருப்பவனே! நீயே இந்த உலகின் உயிர். எம்பெருமானே! நீ கண் விழித்தால் இந்த உலகம் வாழும்
